The penultimate challenge for the MotoGP™ eSport Championship was held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, with the 5.5km venue seeing gamers across the globe aiming to be fastest on Johann Zarco’s Monster Yamaha Tech 3 YZR-M1.
A circuit full of fast and flowing corners, it is dominated by two long straights connected by a hard braking zone, making it superb for overtaking and, in-turn, close racing. It’s one of the longest laps on the MotoGP™ calendar and sees the grandstands lined with local fans, with them all having one passion in common: motorcycle racing.
As with all challenges so far, we will take the quickest competitor from each platform (Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC), making three in total.
The quickest times for Challenge #7 are as follows:
MOTERO_1 from SPAIN on PC: 1:57.792
VINDEX813 from ITALY on PS4: 1:57.873
QPNOVAQP from FRANCE on XBOX: 1:58.525
12 players in total will progress to Semi Final 2 in October, held at the Movistar eSports Center in Madrid on 30th October. The quickest six from the event will join our other six competitors who progressed from Semi Final 1 in the Grand Final in November, making it a top 12 shootout for the title.
