After an intriguing start to proceedings, the second round of the MotoGP™ eSport Global Series is fast approaching with a number of the world’s fastest gamers keen to reel in early leader davideturrisi06.
The Italian, representing Aprilia Racing in this year’s 3-round series, took two victories in round one and currently carries an 11-point lead. But the likes of PieroRicciuti55 (LCR Honda), danielealoè26 (Ducati Lenovo Team) and reigning champion Jack Hammer4658 (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) aren’t far behind.
This year’s Global Series will feature 3 rounds and 9 races, including exciting events like the Tissot Sprint and flag-to-flag races.
The second round of 2025 will be held online and broadcast on 31st October. The grand finale, which will come from the Milan Games Week on November 28th, will then decide the winner of this year’s MotoGP™ eSport Championship.
As was the case in recent years, there will be 11 entrants in total, with each one representing a current MotoGP™ team. Each squad selected their riders during the Draft Pick window.
The riders will be playing on the new official MotoGP™25 Videogame from videogame developer, publisher and longstanding partner Milestone.
Round 2 will offer up plenty of challenges to the 11 entrants. The Sprint will take place at Indonesia’s spectacular Pertamina Mandalika Circuit before the Petronas Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia hosts Race 1. And Portugal’s undulating Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is the scene of Race 2.
