Back with a bang! The 2024 Global Series Round 2 is here!

After a thrilling opening saw one name lay down a marker, the second round of the 2024 MotoGP™ eSport Championship’s Global Series is just around the corner.

This second round is crucial for 10 of the 11 names to try and regain ground on Ducati Lenovo eSport Team’s danielealoè26, who dominated Round 1 by scoring three impressive victories. Now is the time to strike back and ensure they are within range for the all-important final round.

The young Italian may have scored impressive wins in Round 1. But former champions Jack Hammer4658, Adriaan_26 and Trast73 are among the favourites to add another crown to their tally.

The Global Series has been streamlined for a punchier, even more exciting spectacle in 2024. The 11 finalists will contest three rounds, two of which are virtual events.

The third and final round will then be held live and in person at Milan Games Week from November 22nd to 24th, where the the stunning Italian city will be the scene of the crowning of this year’s MotoGP™ eSport Champion!

As witnessed in 2023 for the first time, each round packs a real punch, as gamers will compete in a Sprint race during each round, as well as two longer-length races.

This round should offer up close racing and drama aplenty! Thailand’s Chang International Circuit hosts the Sprint before Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit is the scene of Race 1 and Valencia’s technical Ricardo Tormo Circuit the scene of Race 2. To add further spice to the action, Race 1 will be a flag-to-flag race, which means gamers must pit for a change of tyres in changeable conditions.

The riders will be playing on the new official MotoGP™24 Videogame from videogame developer, publisher and longstanding partner Milestone – which is available to buy now – with race direction and the event powered by Lenovo PCs. The points system for Round 1 will mirror the MotoGP™ World Championship, with 25 points for a win, 20 for second and 16 for third.

Fans can watch on motogp.com and esport.motogp.com, on selected TV broadcasters, and across social media platforms including YouTube (via MotoGP™ eSport), MotoGP™ eSport TwitterInstagram, Facebook (via MotoGP™ and MotoGP™ eSport pages) and Twitch via MotoGP™ eSport.

Who will stake their early claim to be the 2024 MotoGP™ eSport Champion? Tune in on Thursday 7th October to find out!
