After a break of one month, the 2021 Global Series is back. A fascinating championship battle is shaping up with three of the main contenders dominating the two hotly disputed qualifying sessions for the third of four rounds, which will decide this year’s MotoGP™ eSport Champioship!
Tomorrow, on Friday 24th September, the finalists will take on two races. The first one will see the finalists take on the awesome Phillip Island circuit in Australia for before attacking the tight, technical Misano World Circuit on Italy’s Adriatic Coast for race two
For the first race at Phillip Island, 2019 MotoGP™ eSport champ AndrewZh grabbed pole by the narrowest of margins in a tight session from former two-time champion Trast73. Reigning champion Adriaan_26 was third, with a fastest time just 0.099s off pole!
Ahead of the second encounter at Misano, the margins were once again ridiculously fine. Just 0.033s covered the top four names! On this occasion a late lap from Adriaan_26 was enough to steal pole away from Trast73, with AndrewZh completing the front row. Williams_Cristian narrowly missed out in fourth.
Be sure to tune into the action-packed show tomorrow (Friday 24th September) at 16:00 CET (GMT +2), when presenters Jack Appleyard and Jack Gorst will host an hour-long show, beginning with highlights of qualifying before the 11 riders take on two races.
