Repsol Honda Team sign 2020 MotoGP™ eSport Champion Adriaan_26

The Spaniard "Adriaan_26" makes the switch from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team to the Repsol Honda squad as he looks to defend his 2020 crown.

The reigning MotoGP™ eSport Champion, Adriaan_26, has been signed by the Repsol Honda Team for the 2021 eSport season as the Repsol Honda Team hunt their first virtual title.

Adrian ‘Adriaan_26’ Montenegro has been a mainstay of the MotoGP™ eSport Championship since its inception and has been able to consistently deliver top-quality results. With five wins and seven pole positions from eight races, Adriaan_26 was a force to be reckoned with in 2020 and he has no intention of letting his title go away.

For 2021 Adriaan_26 will run in the iconic Repsol colours, previously worn by his racing hero Dani Pedrosa, as the Repsol Honda Team aims to add a virtual Championship to their 15 Riders’ World Championships. The 2021 MotoGP™ eSport Global Series will run over four rounds, the first taking place virtually on June 11 as the 11 gamers chosen by MotoGP™ teams battle it out over eight total races.

Adrian 'Adriaan_26' Montenegro: "It is a great honour to represent the Repsol Honda Team in the MotoGP eSport Championship this year. They have been the reference team the entire time I have been a MotoGP fan and I’ve watched them most of my life. Defending the title this season will not be easy but with the Repsol Honda Team, their partners, their knowledge and experience, I am in the best possible position."
