Nagashima's career best result helped by eSport training?

The Japanese Moto2™ rider told MotoGP™ pitlane reporter Simon Crafar he "played PlayStation a lot" with Jerez prior to finishing seventh

ONEXOX TKKR SAG’s Tetsuta Nagashima battled to a career best finish of seventh place at the Gran Premio Red Bull de España and that success, only the third time he’s taken the chequered inside an intermediate top ten, is thanks to his time dedicated to racing Jerez on his PlayStation.

Speaking to MotoGP™ pitlane reporter Simon Crafar prior to the race getting underway, the Moto2™ rider said, “I like this circuit because when I was young, I played PlayStation a lot with this circuit”.

Although, MotoGP™ commentator Steve Day went on to make the valid point moments later that “I’d imagine on that Triumph engine it feels a little different to a PlayStation around Jerez”.

The 2019 MotoGP™ eSport World Championship is only around the corner now and after two-time World Champion Trastevere 73 signed for Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP over the weekend, maybe Nagashima is planning a charge for the Moto2™ and eSport World Championships this season.
