MotoGP™ eSport: one crown, one champion – the final beckons

The 2023 MotoGP™ eSport Championship will get the thrilling finale it deserves with a live event at Ubeat Live Festival in Barcelona on 11th November

The season finale is upon us! 22 points cover four of the fastest gamers on the planet as the 2023 MotoGP™ eSport Global Series heads to an epic final round with a difference!
 
The fourth Global Series round of 2023 will come from the Ubeat Live Festival in Barcelona on 11th November at 15:30 (GMT +1) Live, with former champions Trast73 (1st) and adriaan_26 (2nd), and hopefuls Jack Hammer4658 (3rd) and Cristianmm_17 (4th), all going head-to-head for the crown!
 
After three virtual rounds until now, the MotoGP™ eSport Championship will come live from the Ubeat Live Festival, where it will take place alongside other major finals of eSport acclaim, such as the Iberian Cup League of Legends and the Crossfire Cup for the Valorant game. As well as the final, there's also a dedicated space in the Fan Zone of the festival where fans get see a host of MotoGP™ memorabilia up close, including MotoGP™ bikes, a BMW safety car, helmets, boots and leathers worn by current MotoGP™ stars, as well as simulators on which fans can test their own skills on the official MotoGP™23 Videogame from videogame developer, publisher and longstanding partner Milestone.

The final itself will see presenters Jack Gorst and Kiko Giles will host a special 90-minute broadcast, when they will be joined by none other than Dani Pedrosa, three-time World Champion and 31-time MotoGP™ race winner, who will divide his time between commentating on the Tissot Sprint and two races, as well as presenting the prizes once the races are completed.

The final round will be a high-stakes affair with double points being awarded for each encounter. To mirror the changes to MotoGP™ in 2023, gamers will compete in a Sprint race during each round, as well as two longer-length races.
 
Six nationalities are represented, with the finalists hailing from the UK, Indonesia, Italy, Spain, Germany and Malaysia. If the third round of 2023 is anything to go by, some thrilling racing and high drama lie ahead. Jack Hammer4658 edged Trast73 in the first dead heat in Global Series history in Round 3, with the riders posting identical race times, before the finalists endured the first ever flag-to-flag race in the Global Series.

It's all to play for with one round to go as Trast73 (Monster Energy Yamaha) holds a 6-point advantage over 26_adriaan (Repsol Honda), with Jack Hammer4658 (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and Cristianmm_17 (LCR Honda CASTROL eSports Team) 11 and 22 points behind respectively.
 
The riders will be playing on the new official MotoGP™23 Videogame from videogame developer, publisher and longstanding partner Milestone – which is available to buy now – with race direction and the event powered by Lenovo Legion PCs.
