Meet the eSport qualifiers: Part 1

Ever wanted to know what would drive those to be the best in the MotoGP™ eSport Championship

What does a Spanish baker from Villafranco, an Italian student from Voghera and a Chemical Process worker from Middleborough in the United Kingdom all have in common?

These are the fastest players of the 2017 MotoGP™ eSport Championship, and they are ready to meet for the Grand Final show-down in Valencia come November 10. Having competed in the online qualifying ‘Time Attack’ session, the first three held between July and September, the competition was fierce as each 10-day qualifying period ended.

The real-life MotoGP™ idols of the most significant players in the eSport Championship? Spanish veteran of the premier class Dani Pedrosa is by far a clear favourite, for ‘MOTERO_1’, ‘AADRIAN_26’, ‘MMANDZUKIC17’ and ‘JORGEGASEC,' however, Cal Crutchlow was the patriotic answer from English competitor ‘PISTOL_73’. Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi also rated a mentioned from the Dutch player ‘NJIRK5211’ and Italian ‘VINDEX813’ respectively.

And do they play anything else besides MotoGP™17 on SONY PS4™? Most do – for ‘AADRIAN_26’, MMANDZUKIC17’ and ‘MOTERO_1’ it is ‘Formula 1’, with the three title chasers enjoying four-wheels as well as two.

One thing amongst the quickest on the MotoGP™17 track that was consistent, along with their lap times, was their mottos: strength and persistence. Or from the infamous Steve McQueen as summed up by ‘NJIRK5211’ – “Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting”.

The wait ends for these seven players November 10, as the lights go out on the LIVE Grand Final event from 17.00 CET.
