Let the games begin! The 2024 Global Series starts now with the first round of the season!

The jewel in the crown of the MotoGP™ eSport Championship kicks off on 10th October. Which gamer will steal an early march on the ten other challengers?

After endless hours of practice, and Online Challenge laps, it’s time for the centrepiece of the 2024 MotoGP™ eSport Championship: the Global Series.

And the Global Series is set to showcase the best of the MotoGP™ eSport Championship once again as 11 of the fastest gamers in the world go head-to-head over three rounds that will decide the 2024 Champion!

As has been the case in previous years, 11 riders have each been chosen by the MotoGP™ teams to represent them across the series that runs from October to November.

This first round is crucial as it sets the stage for the championship race. Players will aim to accumulate maximum points to solidify their rankings heading into the next rounds.

While former champions Jack Hammer4658, Adriaan_26 and Trast73 are among the favourites to add another crown to their tally, this year’s Global Series line-up features a host of new faces that are keen to shake up the existing order.

The Global Series has been streamlined for a punchier, even more exciting spectacle in 2024. The 11 finalists will contest three rounds, two of which are virtual events.

The third and final round will then be held live and in person at Milan Games Week from November 22nd to 24th, where the the stunning Italian city will be the scene of the crowning of this year’s MotoGP™ eSport Champion!

As witnessed in 2023 for the first time, each round packs a real punch, as gamers will compete in a Sprint race during each round, as well as two longer-length races.

And the three circuits are sure to offer up some spicy racing! The Pertamina Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia hosts the Sprint before Japan’s Mobility Resort Motegi is the scene of Race 1 and Australia’s legendary venue Phillip Island the scene of Race 2.

The riders will be playing on the new official MotoGP™24 Videogame from videogame developer, publisher and longstanding partner Milestone . The points system for Round 1 will mirror the MotoGP™ World Championship, with 25 points for a win, 20 for second and 16 for third.

Fans can watch on motogp.com and esport.motogp.com, on selected TV broadcasters, and across social media platforms including YouTube (via the MotoGP™ and MotoGP™ eSport channels), MotoGP™ eSport TwitterInstagram, Facebook (via MotoGP™ and MotoGP™ eSport pages) and Twitch via MotoGP™ and MotoGP™ eSport.
