Every eSport rider has to be sharp with the gamepad but has also to be in peak physical condition to handle the stress and be mentally prepared to compete in the MotoGP eSport World Championship.
Two-time MotoGP eSports World Champion Trastevere73 has stepped up his preparations for the new season by visiting Formula Medicine’s state of the art facility to hone physical and mental aspects of his training.
The 20-year old Lorenzo Daretti, was invited to Formula Medicine’s Mental Economy Gym in Viareggio, Italy, where he underwent a series of tests and activities focussed in three parts: mental training, eye-hand coordination and physical fitness.
Those ranged from concentration tests to mental analysis and a full physical work out with the legendary Doctor Riccardo Ceccarelli. This facility is frequented by a host of elite athletes, including MotoGP race winner Danilo Petrucci and numerous stars in the car racing world.
“It was incredible,” said Trastevere73. “I learnt a lot of things for the mind and the physical action. There was a lot of training and I pushed very hard. I want to improve and learn again a lot of new things. I’m very happy. It was a beautiful day.”
Subject to him qualifying from the Pro Draft, Trastevere73 will once again race for Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP in the all-important Global Series, which has an expanded four-round format for 2020.
Trastevere73 currently sits 12th in the Pro Draft standings – the fourth fastest European gamer using the PC – after the first Online Challenge saw gamers tackle Qatar’s Losail International Circuit with Valentino Rossi’s Monster Energy Yamaha M1.
The second Online Challenge gets underway on Thursday 19th of March.
