Joel_Clay (real name: Joel Pedrosa) may be a rookie in the Global Series arena, but his promise has been clear for some time. The 24-year old Spaniard showed considerable talent during the Pro Draft of this year’s series, showing himself to be adept on both the Playstation and PC platforms. He set the seventh fastest time in the unique challenge which required gamers to take Dani Pedrosa’s 2007 Repsol Honda RC212V around Laguna Seca, and was competitive in the three other challenges, leading him to place twelfth in the European standings. He was promoted to Aprilia Racing Team Gresini’s racing seat after one round with the aim of picking up top-ten finishes in the three rounds to come.
