The final Challenge for the MotoGP™ eSport Championship before Semi Final 1 saw gamers heading to the Austrian hillside as they tackled the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg on Andrea Iannone’s Suzuki GSX-RR. Running from the 8th to the 12th August, this was the last chance to make it to Misano to compete in the first live event.
The circuit is full of unique challenges and is very much a flowing circuit over a short lap, which is comprised of heavy braking zones and challenging turns. It’s a favourite amongst riders and fans, with last year’s epic MotoGP™ race seeing a final corner decider between Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso, with the Italian claiming victory.
As with the first three challenges, we will take the quickest competitor from each platform (Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC), making three in total, and joining the fastest six selected so far.
The quickest times for Challenge #4 are as follows:
PAUL_IG from Spain on PC: 1:18.497
AADRIAN_26 from Spain on PS4: 1:18.523
IOTIFOROSSI from Italy on Xbox One: 1:18.838
ELEGOHST555 second on PS4 with 1:18.584 will be in the First Semi-Final as Aadrian_26 got it's seat in the Challenge #2.
All spots are now claimed for Semi Final 1, which will take place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli September on September 7 and broadcasted live worldwide. Challenges #5 - #8 will run throughout September and October, before Semi Final 2 sees the final 12 competitors heading to the Movistar eSport Center in Madrid on the 30th October.
