The third challenge for the MotoGP™ eSport Championship was based at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar, as competitors from across the globe wrestled Aleix Espargaro’s Aprilia RS-GP around the 5.4km track to the top of the timesheets.
The circuit is full of unique challenges, with flowing sections that lead into tighter corners and the width of the track making it easy for different lines to be used – somewhere that time could either be gained or lost. The start-finish straight is over a kilometre long also, meaning a high top speed is vital to a fast lap time.
As with the first two challenges, we will take the quickest competitor from each platform (Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC), making three in total, and joining the fastest six selected so far.
The quickest times for Challenge #2 are as follows:
IVAN_AVELLA on PC: 1:46.106
CRISTIANMM17 on PS4: 1:46.123
JACK HAMMER4658 on XBOX ONE: 1:46.469
THIMOTHYMCGARDEN61 second on XBOX ONE with 1:46.573 will replace JACK HAMMER4658 on the First Semi-Final.
Now, just three all-important spots remain in Semi Final 1 and with one challenge left before the event, it could be make or break time as to whether or not you will progress through. The fourth challenge is held at the short, fast and technical Red Bull Ring in Austria, and will see you having to compete on Andrea Iannone’s Suzuki GSX-RR in the dry to be at the top of the order.
