The second instalment for the MotoGP™ eSport Championship saw players competing around the stunning Sachsenring circuit in Germany, riding Bradley Smith’s Red Bull KTM RC16, as the international competition aimed to be quickest on their respective gaming platforms.
As this year’s competitors jumped straight onto MotoGP™ machinery, the big challenge would be taming the 200+ horsepower machines around the undulating and anticlockwise circuit, with particular emphasis on the ultra-fast right of Turn 11, better known as the ‘Waterfall’.
This season’s new format opens up to players on the Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with three people from across the globe being crowned fastest on each platform, and getting a place in the all-important Semi Final 1 in September.
The quickest times for Challenge #2 are as follows:
ADRIAAN_26 from Spain on PS4: 1:14.683
LUIGI48GP from Italy on PC: 1:14.766
JUAN_NH16 from Spain on Xbox One: 1:14.938
With just six spots remaining, it’s tight at the top of the timesheets, but the third challenge is just around the corner. Aleix Espargaro’s Aprilia RS-GP is the weapon of choice, as the world’s fastest virtual motorcycle racers aim to be quickest at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.
