For the first time in its history, a round of the MotoGP™ eSport championship’s Global Series will be held at Ubeat Live Barcelona, the gaming festival with global acclaim, with the event taking place this Saturday November 11th at 15:30 (GMT+1).
After three virtual rounds, the 2023 Global Series is prepped for a legendary finale to be held live, with four of its fastest gamers – Trast73 (Monster Energy Yamaha), 26_adriaan (Repsol Honda), Jack Hammer4658 (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and Cristianmm_17 (LCR Honda CASTROL eSports Team) – separated by just 22 points. Only one will be able to lift the trophy on Saturday!
Held in the sizable Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc (Pabellón 1) in the centre of the Catalan capital, the festival runs for two full days, on November 10th and 11th.
And the MotoGP™ eSport Championship won’t be the only game boasting a live event here. The Iberian Cup of the League of Legends will also take place over the two days, as will the VALORANT MediaMarkt Intel Crossfire Cup.
There will also be freestyle events with famous content creators Chuty, Gazir, Skone, Mnak and many others competing against one another in live competitions.
And that’s not all; Argentine rapper Lit Killah will play live as part of his Spanish tour, as will Spanish hip hop artist Kidd Keo, who performed at the Mexican edition of Ubeat last month.
There will also be a gaming arena, where attendees can play and compete in tournaments and challenges for a variety of prizes.
MotoGP™ fans have reason to attend due to a very special guest covering it: MotoGP™ eSport presenters Jack Gorst and Kiko Giles will will be joined by none other than Dani Pedrosa, three-time World Champion and 31-time MotoGP™ race winner. The Spaniard will divide commentate on Round 4’s Sprint and two races, as well as presenting the prizes once the races are completed.
As well as the dramatic final, there will be a space in the Fan Zone of the festival where many items of MotoGP™ memorabilia will be present to delight the fans in attendance. The various items include certain MotoGP™ bikes, a BMW safety car, helmets, boots and leathers worn by current MotoGP™ stars, as well as simulators on which fans can test their own skills on the official MotoGP™23 Videogame from videogame developer, publisher and longstanding partner Milestone.
