There is more at stake at the 2019 MotoGP™ eSport Championship finale than contesting the top places in the championship. New for 2019, the Pole of Poles Award remains open, with a lucrative prize available for the winner.
As well as representing existing MotoGP™ teams at each of the three rounds that make up the Global Series, the twelve finalists have the chance to win the same watch presented to grand prix pole sitters, courtesy of MotoGP™ eSport Partner Tissot.
The Pole of Poles Award will go to the gamer who has amassed the highest number of pole positions across the six-race Global Series. As it stands AndrewZh has taken two poles for the four races that have run so far, with fellow championship contenders Trastevere and Cristianmm17 grabbing one apiece.
The Ricardo Tormo Circuit outside Valencia in Spain will not only host the final round of the 2019 MotoGP™ season, but the exciting eSport Championship double-header as well. There, the twelve finalists will take on the Phillip Island and Angel Nieto Circuit Jerez tracks for races five and six of the series.
The Tissot watch is just one of a number of exciting prizes available at this year’s finale. With a first prize of a rapid BMW M135i xDrive and a runner-up prize of a new Yamaha YZF-R3, and a third place prize courtesy of MotoGP™ eSport partner Lenovo™, who will provide the Legion Y730 high-speed computer as a prize, the stakes are higher than ever as gamers worldwide battle to become the third MotoGP™ eSport World Champion.
The final round of the MotoGP™ eSport will take place on Friday, 15th of November. Qualifying for the event starts tomorrow.
