The Aprilia Racing rider line-up for the 2023 season is complete, but this time in a... virtual way. In fact we talk about eSports and the championship linked to MotoGP, where the best players compete in a realistic simulation of the fastest circuits and bikes in the world.
Defending the Aprilia Racing colours will be Italian Michele Giacon, known by the nickname 'Sbadalongo'. After passing world selection, he will be among the eleven riders competing in the final round of the MotoGP eSports Championship. This will be his second appearance in the Global Series, in which he will ride an RS-GP with the #4.
Italian Sbadalongo caught the eye with a series of impressive showings in the 2022 Pro Draft, as he scored 52 points from a possible 100. A first appearance in the Global Series followed, when he finished eighth. Switching from Mooney VR46 Racing Team Ducati, to Aprilia Racing for 2023, he could be a dark horse for podiums.
