2017 MotoGP™ eSport World Champion “Trastevere73” has signed to an all-Italian team of professional gamers called “Mkers”.

2017 MotoGP™ eSport World Champion, Lorenzo Daretti, known around the globe by his nickname “Trastevere73”, has signed to an all-Italian team of professional gamers called “Mkers”.

The 18-year-old from Rome spectacularly won the inaugural MotoGP™ eSport World Championship at Valencia in November and received the grand prize of a BMW M240i, after fighting fierce competition throughout the event.

Speaking about the announcement, co-founder of Mkers, Thomas De Gasperi said:

"Today we are proud to have signed a MotoGP World Champion, but we are working hard to select and encourage young talents, the champions of tomorrow. Our goal is to create a talent-building system around the phenomenon of eSports, like what is already happening in other countries. To achieve this we need winning athletes, serious professionals who are testimonials of the positive message we want to promote."

Daretti joins fellow MotoGP™ eSport Finalists Ivan Avella (Ivangamer2346) and Michael Amara (Vindex813) as part of the MotoGP™ team with Mkers, marking the progress that eSports is making both a professional and commercial level.
