Thanks to their feats in the 2018 MotoGP™ eSport Championship, expert gamers Cristianmm17 and Trastevere73 had the chance to put their coordination skills to good use in the unique BMW Experience.
This was one of the star prizes of last year’s competition, with the winner of the first Semi-Final (Cristianmm17) and the second (Trastevere73) receiving an invitation to partake in the classy BMW Experience, held at the Bilster Berg circuit in central Germany.
Held over two days, Cristianmm17 and Trastevere73 quickly got up to speed in the rapid BMW M4 Competition around the 4.2-kilometre Bilster Berg track, one of Europe’s top facilities that boasts a technically demanding layout of 19 turns, as well as the Turn One restaurant and luxurious Clubhaus.
Events were broken down into two days. On the first, participants checked in, enjoyed a theoretical introduction of what would be expected of them on the track and dined. On day two breakfast, a theoretical class, and a photo shoot preceded the on-track action.
After a warm-up session on the demanding track, participants were then engaged in a series of driving exercises, watched over by trained professionals. Such sessions included dynamic braking and avoidance manoeuvres, dual lane challenges, oversteering and drifting sessions and a timed slalom before they combined these skills for a series of timed laps of the Blister Berg layout.
A truly unforgettable experience for both Cristianmm17 and Trastevere73, two competitors who are currently locked in battle for the 2019 MotoGP™ eSport Championship crown. Or, as the Italian Trastevere73 commented in the video below, ‘Fantastic’.
There are a host of exciting prizes for the top gamers in the 2019 MotoGP™ eSport Championship, with a brand new BMW M135i xDrive Coupe awaiting the outright winner of this year’s series.
