It will be Team Aprilia and local Sam Lowes at Silverstone Circuit that reveal the best of the best this time round – as competitors attempt to qualify with a top lap at the British track. The online “Time Attack” session marking the half-way point of the championship will be available for all players from August 24. Stakes are high in these tricky conditions, however the three fastest will go through from this round; straight to the Grand Finale in Valencia, Spain.
Beat the pre-set qualifying times in the lower classes to progress into the next category – from Red Bull Rookies Cup™ through to Moto2™. To skip straight to the premier-class simply achieve an exceptional lap and your chance to register a winning time in the MotoGP™ will begin. Track conditions in England are Wet, and tyre compound is locked to ‘soft’ – however tyre wear is disabled to ensure riders can perform as many record breaking laps as necessary.
Over the 10-day Challenge Period, August 24 to September 3, simulation for the online ‘Time Attack’ sessions will be set to “Pro” level racing, and a host of MotoGP17™ riding aids will be switched OFF including auto brakes, joint brakes, steering help and automotive tuck-in. Ideal trajectory and rewind will also be unavailable during time-trials in the premier-class.
With machine and rider pre-selected and designed specifically for each Challenge period, it means there are no game-play benefits – the field is level. Transmission and Traction Control are still user-preference though, and championship competitors will find that the manual transmission requires more skill but allows for potentially faster lap times on track.
Be prepared for a true to life simulation of on-track racing. MotoGP™17 is the next level in gaming and cheating is not an option. You won’t have the opportunity to cut corners here... Ride fast, ride hard and top the leader-board to take the title.
Three players from the eSports Online Challenge #3 that post the quickest laps world-wide, will join 13 others with exclusive VIP access to take part in the LIVE final event at the 2017 Grand Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana in November.
